Christmas present for Kaitlynn

Today I want share with you a project I made for my daughter Kaitlynn for Christmas. Back in August of 2010 she had the amazing opportunity to go to South Africa with the organization Serve The City. She was there for a little over two weeks and absolutely loved it. She hopes to go back someday. While there she took an enormous amount of pictures (I have taught her well!). Since she has been back she has wanted to do something with her pictures, but being a working college student she doesn't exactly have the time or money to do much with them yet. I am hoping to one day be able to help her turn them into wonderful layouts and preserve. But a few months back I asked her for the digital files of her 15-20 favorite pictures from her trip. Of course I wouldn't tell her why I needed them and since I asked for them at an odd time of year, I was hoping she wouldn't figure out what I was needing them for. Thankfully she forgot about giving them to me and Christmas morning she was so surprised when she saw it for the first time.

Here are close-ups of each board

And here she is with it. She was so surprised and excited and said she loves it. Now we just have to figure out where she wants to hang it.

Well, I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and has a wonderful New Years. See you next year!

Thanks for stopping by,
Sherrie!
