Birthday Card

Today I am sharing with you another birthday card I created recently.  This one was for another of our god Daughters (there are 4 of them) who turned 16. I used some left over paper from I had from the Once Upon A Springtime Collection from Graphic45.
Here is a close up that pretty much shows the distressing, inking, and stitching. I used foam adhesive to raise the flower and give the card a bit of depth. I also used some stickles and rub-on letters.
And I am so happy to say that I have finally completed the tutorial for the pine cone ornaments so be sure to check back tomorrow when I finally will get it posted!

Christmas Ornaments

Today I want to share with you my November DT Project that I created for The Scrapbook Outlet. For November I was given paper from BoBunny's Father Christmas Collection and three blank wooden ornaments that can be found in the other half of my LSS. That part of the store is called Cupboard Distributing.

Here are some close ups of each one individually:

For the first ornament the hardest part was just making sure I didn't mess-up the stickles before they dried. I actually did the red stickle lines one evening then set it aside and worked on the second ornament. I came back the next night and did the green stickles. It worked out good that way for me.

I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving and for those going out shopping Friday, be safe! I will be back next week with hopefully some crafty projects that I get completed on this long weekend.

Thanks for stopping by,
Sherrie

My View

This is a layout I created a couple weeks back and entered into a Fall Challenge at C'est Magnifique. I was so excited on Sunday when I found out that I had won the challenge! These pictures were actually taken with my cell phone while sitting in my tree stand deer hunting one evening this fall. I wasn't seeing any deer at the time so decided to snap a few pictures since it looked so pretty. Here is my layout

Here are some close ups
Don't you just love those little dragonfly embellies? I got them from my LSS and colored them with Tim Holtz ink and then added stickles to make them sparkle.

Sherrie.

Happy Birthday Card

Today I wanted to bring to you a birthday card I made this weekend for one of our god daughters. She turned the BIG 18 recently! For this card I did a couple firsts for me. One being I used a mask and misted over it and I also made an accordion folded flower using my Martha Stuart Scor Board.
And as you can see I used one of my new florist frogs to stand it up on to take these pictures! The paper is all just some older Basic Grey that I had in my stash.  Here are some close-ups

I hope she likes it!

I will have another project tomorrow for you so be sure to come back.

Thanks for stopping by,
Sherrie.

What a week it has been.....

Well, all I can say is I will be happy when this week is over. This week has totally not gone as I had planned but I guess that is life and you just have to roll with the punches. It all started on Sunday morning when we got a call from our sister-in-law letting us know that her dad had passed away. They had the viewing on Wednesday evening and the funeral is today. We will miss you Clarence, alot. It just won't be the same when I pick Seth up on Thursdays from his house and Clarence is not there to pick on me. He was a spunky old man! This is our second funeral in less than two weeks.

So I am still trying to complete my tutorial on the pinecone ornaments and also trying to complete a birthday gift. I have had doctors appointments, dogs had vet appointments, trying to get my house ready for company, running, hunting and the list goes on and on. I need about 6 more hours in my day and two more hands and maybe then I will be able to get everything done.

A couple good things happened though. I purchased some florist frogs off eBay and they arrived yesterday.
So now when I take pictures of cards and tags I can stand them up on the florist frogs!

Hopefully I can get everything (or at least most of them) done this weekend that I need to get done. It will help that I scheduled a vacation day for tomorrow. So I should have several scrappy things to post next week. Hope you all have a great weekend!

Holiday Pinecones

Today I just wanted to give you peak at something I have been working on lately. I am trying to develop a tutorial on them and hope to get it all finished this weekend. So be sure to check back in a couple days for the completed tutorial. In December I will be teaching a class on these at my LSS.

Well, I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and gets to do something they enjoy. This evening my husband and I are taking our nephew squirrel hunting for the first time so maybe you will see some pictures from that next week. I also plan on spending some time deer hunting and scrapbooking. Weird combination but both things I enjoy doing (just not at the same time!)  And Saturday evening I am having a girls night with my best friend Shirley.
