Black & White Decadence

Hello!!

Today I am going to share with you a beautiful and decadent wall hanging that I made of our little dog Max (and now I need to get busy making another of our larger dog Reba!)

My daughter actually took this picture for an assignment in her photography class a couple years ago and I just fell in love with it. She happened to be over at the house just taking random shots and managed to capture this keeper! It has taken me a couple years to figure out what I wanted to do with it but was waiting for the perfect idea to hit me.

Recently my DH and I have been going to a lot of auctions and I have started picking up a lot of old picture frames. Some are very plain and some are very fancy. For this project I choose a very plain wooden frame because I was going to just cover it up. I started by covering it with a couple of layers of black paint. I then, very carefully, using the WOW! Embossing Pen and embossed the inner edge with WOW! Embossing Powder in Black Ebony Regular. I also used this on the large letters.

I also used WOW! Embossing Powder in Black Ebony Ultra High and Bright White Ultra High to make the faux wax stamp seals. Aren't they just darling??

I just love how it all turned out with the different shades of white, black and grey. And for those wondering, yes that is really chicken wire and burlap!!

WOW! Products Used:
Black Ebony Regular
Black Ebony Ultra High
Bright White Ultra High
Melt-It
Embossing Pen

Warmly,
Sherrie!!
