Chalkboard & Flowers

Here are the last two projects that I gave you sneaks on. The first was just a plain wooden chalkboard that I purchased from my LSS (The Scrapbook Outlet also known as Cupboard Distributing).
To start with I painted the wood a dark brown to match the brown in the patterned paper I was using. I did this because I did not cover the sides with paper. After applying two coats and letting it dry, I then laid the board down on the paper and traced the outline which I then cut out. To cut out the inside I just measured the distance between the chalkboard and the edge of the wood trim and used a craft knife to make the inside cut. I used modge podge glue to adhere the paper to the wood.
Here are some close ups
For the insides of the bottle caps I just punched out circles from the left over paper that would fit inside. I then used foam dots behind the alphabet letters to give them some dimension inside the caps.

Supply List:

The second project was making flowers out of a sheet of 12x12 patterned paper. I came across these flowers while on the Graphic45's website and loved them. The original design is by Dana Parlevliet. These are like the easiest thing to make!
